I'm back =D

I guess I should start off by telling you where I went =D Dad rented a cottage on the lake for one week. we had a blast canoeing, tubing, fishing, trying to wake surf (only Josh did it, so I probably should'nt say 'we') fishing, and hanging out playing card games. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather, so we didn't go boating  nearly as much as we would have liked too.
We got back yesterday afternoon and Philip, James, Dad and I are leaving early (around breakfast) tomorrow morning for Alberta. We hope to go to the Paul Washer Conference, visit some friends, and see my sisters new baby!!! So in other words, this is just an excuse not to write on my blog.. (*gasp* did I just admit that?)
So while we were at the cabin, I made to felt donuts. They are really easy to make, and one day when I have the time, I might post a tutorial...

They all have a tab attached to them, so you can use them as zipper pulls, christmas tree decorations and key chain thingy's..
I need to go make supper now, so Cheerio!

Sonya the hedgehog?

Hey everybody,
Since it's stormy and wet outside, I thought I might as well post a picture of my latest creation, a cute hedgehog on a key-chain.
I have been putting a lot of my creations on key-chain rings lately, because it seems a little more practical...I also know that most people put a gloss finish on theirs, but I prefer not too, because it adds a whole step, and than you have to wait for it to dry before you can do anything with it...
Anyway, here's the picture.

Tip of the day: to make heads stick to bodies, put a 3/4 of an inch long piece of wire in the body, this will add a whole element of security to your creation!

We are having company for supper, and I need to make a cheese-cake, so toodles!

Clay pens

Hey people!
I found my camera cord, so I can post pictures! Yay!!!
So I though  I'd post the link to a blog which is a great inspiration to me. She is currently holding a give-away, so don't forget to enter!!
I have been making clay pens lately, all sorts and varieties, with the intention of maybe opening an Etsy shop and selling them, along with other clay charms...I am currently trying to accumulate enough things to sell. I got the idea of the pens from a tutorial on Youtube, feel free to check it out!
Well, here are pictures of two of them. Sorry about the bad quality of the pictures, I'm currently working on how to use my camera....

These pictures are of a yellow pen with swirls and a brown hair girl.

This one has all sorts of 'girly' things on it, including a flower, make-up and lipstick....is a iPod considered 'girly'?

Tip of the day:  for the blush, instead of using paint, use chalk pastels, as it gives your creation a more realistic look.

Feel free to comment and tell me what you think, it would be greatly appreciated!

Ps, don't forget to check out Julies blog!

Some pictures and update

Hey people, after a very uneventful Canada Day, I bethought my self of my blog, and after scrounging around on the computer after pictures, finally found some, and decided to post!! So, these pictures are a few months old, and not the best charms of figurines I've ever made, but it's better than nothing.
This smiley bun is made out of Paper clay, which is much lighter than Polymer clay, and air dry.

A cute girl, a pony and a baby bunny, not to scale!!! =D

As for my life right now, it's been pretty boring, except Becca and David (my older siblings, which you will find I have in abundance, along with younger siblings, anybody want a few?) went to Alberta, David to work on a job, and Becca to help Sarah, who is very close to her due date. That means I will have 7 adorable Nieces and Nephews, not including Rachael who is due in October.....I am really excited! As for the summer, I don't think we have any plans, except maybe going camping again. Mostly because with Becca's wedding in 1 1/2 months(!) Mom will be busy with sewing, so she won't have time to go anywhere, except one trip to Ontario with Miriam and Esther. As she  is making a bridesmaids dress for Sarah, Jordan (my older sisters) and I.

Tip of the day~ Use a piece of old white clay to clean your hands as you might get dust in your good clay.

Your's truly..

Starting up...

Hey everybody, I know I should've started this blog sooner, but Hey, I'm doing it now, so it's all well and good.=D
My mission with this blog is to encourage other crafters, mostly young girls like myself, with tips, ideas and tutorials. since I usually make miniature items out of Polymer clay, that is what I will be posting about... but if my readers (if I get any) can request ideas, and I will gladly try to comply with their wishes!

I am currently helping a friend of mine on her blog please feel free to check it out, it will be full of encouragement for young christian girls plus stories and great summer ideas!

Both last week and this week have been very busy, as we just got home from camping for two weeks. When we arrived home, smelling very much like smoke, we had a whole house to clean, and (!) gardens to take care of...so in other words I didn't work much on my clay. Plus I lost the computer cable for my camera...so I can't post even more recent pictures....

Cheerio! and thank-you for reading...
